Bowman featured in article on impacts of acid mine drainage

Jen Bowman, Director of Environmental Programs at Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, was interviewed by The Post on the effect of acid mine drainage on aquatic life in Southeast Ohio.

In the article, “Building Biodiversity: Acid mine drainage kills biodiversity in Hocking River,” author Courtney Perrett quotes Bowman who said, “Acid mine drainage typically results in low-pH, high-metal, high-conductivity water that does not support aquatic life.”
