Virtual Program Student Schedule (Summer)

This is a general overview of the Virtual BSO program. A personalized schedule will be provided on the day of the program via the email provided on the sign-up form.

Time	Session
Before 8:15 a.m.	Electronic Check-in Students will check in for the program by going to the link in the final details message sent to their OHIO email 3-4 days before the orientation date. After completing the online form, students will receive an email confirming their check-in. That email will include a link to the first meeting of the day. This must be completed by 8:15 am on the BSO date.
	If you are participating in BSO from a time zone other than Eastern Time or Central Time, you will receive pre-recorded versions of the first few presentations when you complete the check-in process. We recommend checking in early on the day before your program to have time to watch those videos. In this case, your first live presentation that you are required to join is at 11:15 a.m. Eastern.
7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.	Virtual Help Desk Available A link to a virtual help desk will be available throughout the day for any students having difficulty getting to the appropriate virtual meeting spaces or for any additional assistance needed.
8:15 a.m.	Virtual Meeting Rooms Open Guests should join their student on the same device for the beginning of the program. Students are encouraged to log in before the program to ensure their technology is ready to begin promptly at 8:35 am. A virtual help desk will be available for students with questions or concerns.
8:25 - 9:50 a.m.	Morning Presentations Meet the orientation team, review the orientation program schedule, and hear from University administration. There will also be presentations on OHIO history and traditions, the OHIO Guarantee+ and services to know.
9:50 - 10 a.m.	Quick Stretch Break
10 - 11:40 a.m.	Student Sessions with Orientation Leader Get to know your orientation leaders and other students attending the program. Learn more about the academic resources at the university and prepare for advising and course registration.
11:40 a.m. - 12 p.m.	THRIVING at OHIO In this session, students will learn more about the expectations for each member of our Bobcat family. Students can expect to learn about ways each of us plays a role in helping our community to thrive.
12:25 - 1 p.m.	Lunch Break
1 - 4:45 p.m.	Student Afternoon Presentations, Advising Appointments and Course Registration Connect with your advisors and learn about University, college, and major requirements as you prepare for course registration. Academic advisors and orientation leaders will be available to assist you in registering for Fall Semester courses. Student advising appointments will be scheduled at different times in this window, so attendees must prepare to be available for the entire time.
1:45 - 5 p.m.	Required Student Check-out After completing course registration, all students will be required to check out with the orientation team to end their BSO experience. Check-out meetings will be one-on-one conversations during this time and will last approximately 10-15 minutes, so you do not need to plan on being available for this entire time block.
