Orientation Fees
Student orientation fees for the program and one night staying on campus in a residence hall are included in The OHIO Guarantee+. There are additional fees for the family and guest orientation programs and their overnight accommodations on campus, as well as any students staying for additional nights.
All fees are billed directly to the student's account upon check-in for the orientation program. Fees will remain on the student's account and must be paid even if a student chooses to not enroll in their first semester. Questions regarding charges must be resolved within three months of attending your orientation session. To view your orientation charges, visit your My OHIO Student Center.
Sign up for your orientation session
When signing up for your session, you will choose an available date and also indicate if any family members or guests intend to participate in BSO with you. Students are required to participate in all sessions that are part of the program in order to register for classes at orientation, so be sure to clear your schedule and plan to fully participate in all elements of the program. You'll need your OHIO email address and password to access the form below. If you haven't already activated your OHIO ID and campus email address, follow the instructions on the account activation website.
Please note that interest in Ohio University continues to be high and space is limited. The priority date to sign up for BSO was June 30, but you can still sign up for BSO as space permits. Sign up for a session as soon as possible!
First-year students are eligible to sign up for their specific orientation session after they have completed and been cleared through the Required Pre-enrollment Discipline and Criminal History Review process. Students must also complete their housing contract and pay their deposit or complete a commuter contract (if eligible). The automated process for housing contracts can take up to 24 hours from the time the housing deposit is received for a student to be able to sign up for orientation. Those students submitting commuter contracts may need to wait up to 24 hours after receiving confirmation of commuter status approval to be able to sign up.
Transfer students are eligible to sign up for their orientation session once they have officially been admitted to Ohio University and have been cleared through the Required Pre-enrollment Discipline and Criminal History Review process.
