Students play a major role at University Communications and Marketing. We offer many different types of student opportunities, including PACE positions, work-study, semester internship experiences, and graduate assistantships. Students who work at UCM are honing their crafts, being mentored by working professionals, and contributing content to Compass and other significant UCM projects. Students may include their published works at UCM in their demo reels and portfolios.
Working for UCM has given me real-life journalism experience. My writing and interviewing skills have improved so much since I started.
