BSO & Undergraduate Orientation Programs
Ohio University's orientation programs enable new Ohio University students and their families and guests to meet with faculty, staff, and current students to prepare for their first semester on the Athens Campus. You will discuss your transition to the Ohio University community and opportunities for involvement, which can enhance your academic success. Any questions you have about the orientation schedule, fees, or program accommodations, please contact us.
This team works alongside undergraduate and graduate students who work tirelessly to connect all of the orientation dots, ensuring excellent programs for OHIO guests.
Each February, students who will work on campus in June during the first-year and transfer student orientation dates are selected and begin their extensive BSO training. This team of students are OHIO's Orientation Leaders (OLs), commonly referred to as BSO Leaders. These students work 12-14 hours per day, six days straight, for nearly four weeks. That's what it takes to welcome more than 4,000 new Bobcats to Athens!
Students attending a regional campus DO NOT attend orientation in Athens.
