Ohio University

How to Apply

To enter the Criminal Justice program, you must complete an online application. Students can obtain the online application from University College, regional campus, or e-Learning BCJ advisors.

Please note that students on regional campuses may need longer than two years and may need to register on more than one campus. The major is also available online through Ohio University's eCampus.

  • Completion of an associate's degree in a related technical field (criminal justice, paralegal, human services, law enforcement, corrections, police science, police administration, security/safety) is necessary for you to qualify for admission.
  • If you are currently enrolled at Ohio University (either in Athens or at a regional campus), you will need only to complete the Bachelor of Criminal Justice Degree Program Application Form, available from University College, 140 Chubb Hall, or from any regional campus student services office. You may also fill out the application online.

The above application link is the newest application for current OHIO students to declare B.C.J. or Pre-BCJ (there is no paper application).

If you are not currently enrolled at Ohio University, you will need to complete an application for admission through the Office of Admissions, 120 Chubb Hall, or through a student services office at one of the regional campuses, in addition to the Bachelor of Criminal Justice Degree Program Application Form.
