Ohio University Athens Campus Transportation & Parking Restrictions October 30- October 31, 2021
Ohio University campus parking restrictions will be in place beginning Saturday, October 30 at 7pm through Sunday, October 31 at 7am. Please reference the guidance provided below for additional details regarding campus parking access during this time.
Campus Parking Lot Restrictions:
Campus lots will close for public parking between 7pm Saturday, October 30 - 7am Sunday, October 31. During this time, parking access will only be provided to faculty/staff and currently enrolled students who hold an active/valid campus parking permit approved for use during fall semester. Vehicles not displaying a valid Ohio University campus parking permit are subject to violation. The minimum violation amount is $150 and citations issued during this restriction period are not eligible for void or reduction.
Visitor, vendor or contractor permits will not be honored during this time. If your department is hosting an event that requires parking for official university business please contact Transportation & Parking Services at email@example.com.
Campus Parking Meters & Pay By Space Locations:
Pay-by-hour parking will be available at any campus meter or pay by space surface lot (Lot 122 Baker Surface, Lot 87 Ping Center, Lot 134 Walter Hall) for those utilizing short-term or hourly parking. Vehicles parked at an expired/unpaid meter or hourly space are subject to violation.
Alternative Parking (Off Campus)
Halloween Weekend parking is available at the Athens County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 9am Friday, October 29 and will remain open all weekend. The cost is for the entire weekend (Friday 9am-Sunday noon) and the fee is $20 cash. Proceeds benefit the Junior Fair Program. No advance sales please.
