2019 Halloween Campus Transportation & Parking Guidelines:
Halloween parking guidelines are effective beginning Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 7pm through Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 7am. For complete parking restrictions, please review information below.
Campus Parking Lot Restrictions:
Due to the large number of anticipated guests visiting Athens for the Halloween celebration, parking on the Ohio University Athens campus will be restricted to provide access only to faculty/staff and currently enrolled students who hold an active/valid campus-parking permit. Vehicles not clearly displaying a valid Ohio University campus-parking permit are subject to a $150 violation. Campus lots will close for public parking between 7 PM Saturday, October 26 – 7 AM Sunday, October 27. Vehicles parked within non-traditional parking areas, blocking or impeding traffic flow or drive areas, parked in the grass or along curbs, within firelanes, or illegally parked within a disability space are subject to a fine and vehicle relocation fees.

Campus Hourly Parking Restrictions:
Baker & Jefferson Garage:
Hourly parking within the Baker and Jefferson Garage facilities will be closed to the public after 3am on Saturday, October 26 until 7am on Sunday, October 27. Faculty/staff and students with valid reserved space permits for the Baker and Jefferson Garages are still permitted access to these facilities.
Campus Parking Meters:
Pay-by-hour parking will be available at any campus meter or pay-by space surface lot (Lot 122 Baker Surface, Lot 87 Ping Center, Lot 134 Walter Hall) for those wishing to park utilizing short-term or hourly parking. Vehicles parked at an expired meter or failure to pay a meter are subject to the issuance of a citation. Please reference the campus parking map for pay by space parking locations.

Alternative Parking (Off Campus – Non Ohio University Affiliated Parking Lots):
Halloween Weekend parking is available at the Athens County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 11am Friday, October 25 and will remain open all weekend. The cost is $10 cash or $12 credit for the entire weekend (Friday 11am-Sunday noon.
