All Ohio University residence halls will officially close on Friday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. Students must vacate their residence hall within 24 hours of their last exam or by 8 p.m. Dec. 13, whichever comes first. Students who have a Friday exam, are graduating at or working the commencement ceremony, or have an extenuating circumstance (i.e. Saturday GoBus) may request a one night extension by visiting www.ohio.edu/myhousing. To request an extension, click on the 'Applications' tab and complete the "Fall Semester One Night Extension." Students receiving an extension must check out no later than 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14.
Fees: Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, a charge of $25 per hour after closing will be imposed to students who do not vacate the residence halls on time and did not file an extension request. A $100 minimum fee is charged to students who do not complete the checkout process properly.
