Bobcat Family and Friends,
We are truly blessed to live in a country where we can build a life, speak, work and live the way we do. This week I sent a message to your students about freedom of expression. I believe that it is both our right and our responsibility to raise engaged global citizens who speak passionately and with respect about issues that matter to them. I appreciate your partnership as we work together to build up the next generation to speak their minds and follow their hearts. It is one of my joys as a parent!
Speaking of parenting, normally we would be having parents weekend this weekend on campus. Instead, many of us are seeing our children around the dinner table daily, or for some of you who are apart, connecting via technology. No matter where you are or how you find ways to be together, I hope you find those special moments with your Bobcats this week.
