Housing and Residence Life to recruit at The Placement Exchange

On March 6, representatives from OHIO’s Department of Housing and Residence Life (HRL) will be in the Golden State attending a premier, national recruitment event, The Placement Exchange (TPE) Onsite. Representatives hope to recruit candidates for the resident director position for the 2019-20 Academic Year.

Presented by NASPA and ACUHO-I, the annual TPE Onsite event, held this spring in Los Angeles, CA, brings together job seekers and student affairs professionals from institutions across the nation for networking and a job placement experience just prior to the start of the annual NASPA conference.

A pool of over 13,000 candidates is available for review by institutions recruiting at TPE, and in preparation of the onsite event, HRL staff have reviewed over 400 candidates, according to Kim Hoover, HRL’s director of residence life.

“The TPE experience affords us access to a highly qualified and diversified candidate pool,” said Hoover. “We are also offering Skype interviews during TPE for those who are not able to attend in person, keeping our search inclusive of all who are interested in the resident director position at OHIO, regardless of their ability to travel to Los Angeles.”

HRL is anticipating filling four resident director positions through this recruitment cycle. Those interested in learning more about the position through TPE can search position number 1990 at The Placement Exchange website.
