OHIO Catering will host its third-annual OHIO Catering Expo from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on August 21 in the Baker University Center Ballroom and showcase their online ordering system, CaterZen, which allows customers to design and request their perfect event.
Ohio University Senior Catering Manager Deeana Bruce said CaterZen makes the ordering process easier for the customer as well as for the caterers. Through the app, customers will be able to order food for their event any time of the day, from anywhere in the world and caterers can view those requests in real-time calendars, which will be much more effective and efficient.
“We are now able to interactively show our customers what we are currently offering on our menus as well as provide a quicker response time to event orders,” Bruce said. “CaterZen offers the opportunity to create food preparation reports for the kitchen, which ideally decreases waste and helps with portion consistencies.”
OHIO Catering Assistant Manager Nicole Wires said the expo will additionally have a display of new services from OHIO Catering, such as updated menu options and preview of on-campus spaces that can be rented.
Wires said the expo will also give attendees a chance to network with various departments across OHIO, such as Transportation and Parking Services, Conference and Event Services and others. This will allow attendees to see not only what OHIO Catering has to offer, but also what services the other departments on campus can provide.
“We strive to make our guests feel relaxed and informed on all the services that OHIO Catering can provide when wanting to plan the perfect event,” Wires said. “From weddings to business conferences, we provide numerous accommodations that will help highlight any event.”
Attendees will be eligible for some excellent prizes offered by OHIO Catering. Free registration is available at bit.ly/catering-expo, so be sure to reserve a spot today.
