Culinary and retail venues now cashless

Ohio University now exclusively accepts cashless transactions. Many upgrades have been made to operations throughout campus for ease, safety and efficiency for customers. Transactions involving cash and coins pose more of a safety risk regarding coronavirus as well as make sanitation processes more complicated.

Students and staff that have Bobcat Cash or Flex Points can now just tap their OHIO ID card to check out, allowing for a simple, contactless transaction. A cash-free business is not just convenient for employees, but it is also more convenient for guests. This quick method of payment ensures that guests spend less time waiting in line.

Culinary Services also released the OHIO EATS app that allows students and staff to order items from many of our culinary and retail venues.  The app lets customers skip the line and pay ahead of time. After completing an order through the app, customers simply stop by the venue and pick up their meal. It is contactless, fast and easy.

Adding Bobcat Cash to an OHIO ID card is an easy alternative to using a credit or debit card. OHIO ID cards are used throughout campus, from grabbing lunch at a dining court, to swiping into residence halls.

Loading a card with Bobcat Cash is easy. Learn how to add money to a student or staff account through eAccounts or watch this video on Bobcat Cash.

Culinary Services ensures the safety and well-being of its customers and staff with the upmost care and pride. The University is thrilled to share this contactless payment option with all who will be on campus this fall!
