New workshops offered to expand design, website and social media skills among DOSA staff and students

January 23, 2020

The Student Affairs Communication and Marketing team has prepared two optional trainings and one required training for Division of Student Affairs staff and students to assist in aligning work across the division and as part of the larger university community.

Best Practices in Social Media

In this workshop, attendees will learn protocols used by SACM’s social media team that can be applied to the development of copy and visuals to best suit each platform. In the ever-changing landscape of social media, it is important to maintain consistency through the continuous application of best practices, such as creating variety in post content development while maintaining consistent messaging themes, in order to best represent the student life brand of the Division of Student Affairs. This training will be beneficial for anyone who is managing a social media channel, contributing social media copy to a channel, or simply interested in the basic principles of social media.
