Many of our current students have lost internships and summer job opportunities that support their career development. Join Ohio University’s Career and Leadership Development Center and a panel of employers to discuss job searching in an uncertain economy. The panelists for this event are:
- Matt LaVigne (an '06 OHIO graduate - BBA- Finance/MIS/Economics) is the Personal Lines Product Manager, NH & NY Underwriting for Progressive Insurance. As a Product Manager in Progressive’s Personal Lines (Personal auto insurance) organization, he is responsible for the profitable growth of Progressive’s book of business in New Hampshire and their relationship with the state’s Department of Insurance. He is also responsible for finding new ways to identify fraud for the state of New York (an insurance market with significant fraud-related challenges).
- Kejal Shah (a Cedarville University graduate) is the Talent Acquisition Manager for Bridge Logistics. At Bridge, he oversees all of their hiring for operations, sales, and co-op programs and helps with marketing content creation within their team.
- Jasmyn Pearl (an OHIO graduate) is the University Relations Specialist for Mercy Health. At Mercy Health, she communicates with university departments and students through campaigns that are designed to promote new graduate hiring programs at Mercy. She also builds and executes a strategy and curriculum for new hire job readiness, including but not limited to; interview tactics, dress for success, and negotiating job offers.
