Experimental Learning

Year after year, employers report preferring candidates with work experience. Whether it is an on campus job, research position, internship, or leadership position with a student organization, the Career and Leadership Development Center recommends you graduate with experience you can point to.

Develop your leadership skills

Excel in your professional career by developing leadership skills.

We emphasize eight leadership skills that are carefully selected based on research on the qualities of leaders across an array of fields. The skills are self-awareness, team development, problem solving, interpersonal development, adaptability, well-being, intercultural competency and innovation.

Through a variety of opportunities, including leadership coaching, leadership certificates and Pepsi Scholars, you can identify the best way to foster these skills in yourself and reach your full potential.
