Out-of-State Alumni Panel (Interstate 1804) Event November 12th

Out-of-State Alumni Panel (Interstate 1804) Event November 12th

Join us for Interstate 1804, an Out-of-State Alumni Panel discussion that will allow current students to connect with Bobcats who have relocated outside of Ohio for employment or other opportunities. The panel will be hosted through Microsoft Teams Thursday, November 12, 2020, 4-5 p.m. (ET). The discussion will be facilitated by Tamika Williams, Assistant Director for Diversity and Inclusion. Please contact Tamika with any questions about the event at williat8@ohio.edu.

Often, leaving a community that you have grown up in for 18+ years can lead to fear, uncertainty, excitement, apprehensions, new friends,  and new experiences. We hope the Interstate 1804 panel provides advice, encouragement, and insight into the relocation experience.  This panel will feature the following alumni participants:

  • Miranda Szink works as a Teach For American Recruiter. She recently returned to Ohio from Houston, TX.
  • Matt Houser serves as the Ohio Alumni Association - Middle Tennessee Chapter President. He's also an executive producer at Twilight, Tennessee.
  • Jennifer Moore is an Emmy-award winning producer for KHOU 11 located in the Houston, TX area.
  • Cidney Work works as a Career Coach with Flex Jobs, North Carolina.
