How We Work with Students

At the Career and Leadership Development Center, “Early, often, and forever” is more than a slogan; it's an essential practice in reaching one’s aspirations and potential. We know that achieving a satisfying career happens when students start early and try often, and we’ll support them in that process, forever.

Our coaches use the Brain Based Career Development (BBCD) method for engaging students in action-oriented goal setting, while acknowledging that career development is inherently overwhelming. The BBCD model is based on cutting edge neuropsychological best practices. BBCD is a model that coaches use to guide students to identify solutions to their career development problems. To learn more about BBCD and how the CLDC trains student services professionals around the country to use this method to support students, visit the BBCD page.

The CLDC provides a number of services and experiences that are beneficial to students from any major and with a range of career interests. Explore the links below to learn more about the different resources available to students. Please note that all of our services are also available to Ohio University alumni.
