Faculty Absence


If you become ill or an emergency prevents your meeting with your class, please inform the Faculty Office as soon as possible, and if practical, email your students.
For more information on the university policy related to absences, please see the Faculty Handbook.

Adjunct faculty applying for sick leave:
 - Using your login and passward (same as OU email) you can enter the site
 - There is a folder on the left: My Personal Information
 - It contains various links including: Absence Management
 - Click on Create Absence and complete the online form.

Sharing Personal Contact Information


Please note that you are not required to share personal contact information, such as your telephone number, with students.
You are encouraged to activate and to use your Ohio University email address.

Faculty are responsible for implementing accommodations for students with disabilities as approved by Student Accessibility Services. If a student’s requests accommodations for a disability and is not yet registered with SAS, you are encouraged to refer the student.

of a disability should contact me privately to discuss your specific needs and provide written documentation from Student Accessibility Services.

If you are not yet registered as a student with a disability, please contact Student Accessibility Services at 740-533-4596 or visit the office in the Student Success Center, Collins Building.
