Ironton Council for the Arts

ICA_logoOur audience is made of individuals and family groups who purchase season tickets and the general public who attend individual shows. Season ticket holders elect members to the board of trustees. The Ironton Council for the Arts has 501(c)(3) tax exempt status as a non-profit organization and is incorporated under the laws of the State of Ohio. All proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales are used to secure top tier performers for our series and to cover printing and stage costs.
Ironton Council for the Arts 2016-1017 Subscription Concert Series
The Ironton Council for the Arts Board of Trustees has chosen the theme “Voices along the River” for the 2016-2017 subscription concert series. This year’s slate of concerts features musical performances as well as historical characterizations and theater.

Season tickets may be purchased for all five shows or may be purchased at the door for individual shows for $10. Ohio University students admitted free with valid student ID.

All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of Carol Fest  and Marshall University School of Music Sunday Afternoon Series.  Performances will be held at Ohio University Southern (Ironton campus), Ironton High School, and Ironton First Presbyterian Church.

ADMISSION: Children bring two canned goods, adults bring one unwrapped toy, to help area families in need during the holidays.

Marshall University School of Music Sunday Afternoon Series
Ironton First Presbyterian Church  2:00 p.m.

January 29  Jazz Combo I performs swinging classical and contemporary jazz music.
February 12 The ABCD Horn Quartet is named after the first initials of the last names of the student performers. For this program, they will perform a variety of standard works for horn quartet and selected pieces centered around Valentine’s Day themes.
February 26 The sixteen-piece Marshall University Trombone Ensemble performs music in a wide variety of styles, ranging from Renaissance polyphony to the present, including jazz and rock.
