All performances are free and begin at 7:30 p.m.
Concerts are located in the Collins Center Bowman Auditorium unless otherwise indicated.

Marshall University Trombone Ensemble

Student ensemble consisting of music majors from the Marshall University School of Music and Theater performs music spanning several genres and styles written and arranged for trombone ensemble.          




Alina Kiryayeva, concert pianist
Tuesday, December 1, 7:30p.m.   Riffe Center Mains Rotunda                   
alinaA native of the Ukraine and Juilliard School of Music graduate, Ms. Kiryayeva has claimed top prizes in several international piano competitions in the USA and has also performed throughout Europe, Mexico, and Japan. Her program, titled "Moving Pictures", consists of classical works featured in cartoons such as Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry. She will also perform holiday favorites.

Appalachian Celtic Consort

Back by popular demand, what a better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than with the celtichand-clapping, toe-tapping sounds of the Appalachian Celtic Consort from Charleston, WV performing traditional Irish and Scottish music laced with a local flavor. stolen momentsAlso from Charleston, WV, the Stolen Moments Jazz Quintet regularly performs music for all types of social occasions throughout southern West Virginia and the tri-state. Their repertoire includes jazz and blues standards, ballads, and a variety of dance music including cha-chas, tangos, mambos, fox trots, and waltzes.
