Associates Equine Studies

Commercial Equine Business Management

Welcome to the Equine Studies Program home page; we are excited to start working with you in achieving your career, college, and personal goals. The Equine Studies program is designed to prepare students for employment as trained professionals in the horse industry. On this webpage and through our links, you will find helpful information regarding our Equine Studies program. The Equine Studies Degree is an Associate's in Equine and Applied Science. In this degree we have three different areas of hands-on instruction to choose from: Therapeutic Horsemanship and Riding Instruction, Assistant Trainer, and , Equine Sciences .

Our newest track is our Commercial Equine Business Management (Makes these links to four individual track pages) track which is entirely online. The program provides students with opportunities to develop skills and expertise in riding instruction, therapeutic riding, farm management and business, pre-animal science, and pre-veterinary technology. Although you are never limited to just one track, many of the required courses in the tracks overlap making it easier to do both. Our program provides our students with the opportunity to choose their desired area of focus and expand it as much as they would like.
We offer a large range of equine classes and are constantly updating our courses to meet the demands of the ever changing equine industry. In our hands-on courses, we use our lab hours to give you quality time to practice the knowledge we provide in lectures so you will become fully prepared to graduate as a trained professional and start employment in the horse industry.
Our program, because of the safety of our riders and horses, does have guidelines including a possible weight restriction along with a required proof of health insurance. These guidelines are subject to change.
