Academic Policy Updates
Drop Deadline Extended, Grading Options Available
Dear Regional Campus Students,
Earlier today, President Nellis announced the Phase 2 plan for the Athens campus. This has NO impact on our regional campus students who will continue in the same modality that we started in August.
There are two academic policy changes that you need to be aware of:
Before classes started, we shared updated academic policies for fall 2020 related to incomplete grade extensions, final exams, and attendance policies. Below are additional updated policies for fall 2020.
Extended drop deadline with fee adjustment to September 11. The original deadline to drop a class with a possible fee adjustment was September 4. This has already been updated on the academic calendar on the Registrar’s website.
The undergraduate alternative grading options that were used last spring, which allow students to opt into a Satisfactory/No Credit (S/NC) option for most undergraduate courses, will be instituted for the fall semester. This will apply to undergraduate coursework on the Athens and regional campuses. Additional information will be posted on the Registrar’s website soon. Due to accreditation requirements, not all courses will have this option.
