What can you do with a communication degree? In short, the sky is the limit. Our alumni are communication leaders in ever discipline of the industry. They are not only asking the tough questions in this ever-changing field, but are finding solutions that help the world move forward. Faculty and students here on campus also play a part in how Scripps shapes the future of communication through research, creative activity, internships and extracurricular activities. First place Disney Imaginations team includes MDIA student and alumnus

Feb 10, 2016 On January 29, during an awards luncheon at Walt Disney Imagineering headquarters in Glendale, California the winners of the Walt Disney Imagineering’s 25th Imaginations design competition were announced. The first place prize went to a four-person team that included Courtney Irby, a senior in the School of Media Arts & Studies studying games and animation, and Media Arts & Studies alumnus Geoffrey Backstrom, BSC ‘15.

OHIO’s Washington Policy Forum connects and engages alumni in presidential election discussion

Feb 3, 2016 Around 60 Ohio University alumni attended a Washington Policy Forum kickoff event in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, Jan. 28 in the Capitol Visitor’s Center. Organized by the College of Arts and Sciences, the Scripps College of Communication, the Ohio University Alumni Association and the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, the forums, held quarterly, aim to reconnect alumni in the nation’s capital to Ohio University.
