Scripps applicants sought for fall Department of Public Safety internships
Interns to be hired for video news, social media, web design; application deadline is June 18
ATHENS, Ohio (June 9, 2014)—The Scripps College of Communication is seeking Scripps juniors, seniors and graduate students for its exclusive paid internship program with the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS). Fall internships are being offered in the areas of video news, social media and web design and will run Aug. 25 through Dec. 13. The deadline to apply is June 18.
Interns must be available to work minimum of 16 hours a week or 2 days a week (and/or up to a maximum of 40 hours a week.) These will be robust student internship experiences in public safety. Interns will be rotated through 7 divisions pushing messages out regarding seatbelt safety, drug avoidance and human trafficking reduction. Descriptions for each follow:
