Animation

The Animation program provides the opportunity to work through the whole animation pipeline from character design and asset creation to completed narrative animation. Curriculum includes:

  • Digital techniques for 2D and 3D animation
  • Animation for film/TV, video games, VR/AR
  • Hybrid animation techniques
  • Narrative storytelling in animation
  • Motion graphics for video
  • Preproduction and postproduction for animation
  • Animation for visual effects
  • Sound design for animation

The Animation cognate area allows students to take production courses outside the core, broadening their skills while enhancing the creative process. Students expand on their coursework with capstone projects, industry internships, study abroad opportunities and student organizations related to animation.
