Scripps Semester in D.C. Program
The Scripps Semester in D.C. program allows students in the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and the School of Visual Communication to spend a semester in the nation's capital learning from industry professionals and gaining professional experience around the city.
The first two weeks of the term will be spent in a seminar setting, with each week focusing on different topics including journalism (print, broadcast, data and photojournalism), strategic communication, commercial photography, information graphics, data visualization, publication design for print and digital, and scripting a UX design.
Following the initial two weeks of seminars, students will be immersed in a 10-week practicum in the D.C. area tailored to their interests and professional goals. All practicums will be 40 hours per week.
