Jason Crane, M.A.
Jason Crane earned both his B. A. and M. A. in Communication from San Diego State University. Jason’s research focuses on the dialectical relationship between teaching and learning, and the role that this phenomenon plays in the construction and communication of personal and inter-subjective meaning. Some of his recent qualitative studies explore the ways in which art and music function pedagogically in the public sphere through the communication of lived experience. In Jason’s work, this process is analyzed through a critical lens to understand the pitfalls and potentials of these communicative vehicles for human organization and social transformation. In his spare time, Jason enjoys playing music, reading, practicing yoga, taking naps, and hanging out with his cat “Tater.”
