January 15, 2020

Q: What do you do at WOUB?

A: I am a lead reporter for Gridiron Glory covering the TVC-Hocking conference and I plan on doing Hardwood Heroes in the spring.

Q: How did you get involved with WOUB?

A: I knew I wanted to go into television, so I joined at the start of my freshman year.

Q: How much did you know going in? Specifically about the tasks you perform there? Did you have previous broadcast experience before starting at WOUB?

A: I had a lot of previous experience before WOUB. My high school had a television studio and I anchored the morning announcements, made news packages, covered school sports, competed, etc.

Q: What is your time commitment (hours per week)?

A: My time commitment for Gridiron is about 8-10 hours a week (mostly on Friday)

Q: What’s skills have you developed or improved?

A: I am much more comfortable on camera and with scripting.

Q: What advice would you give to students who are interested in working at WOUB?

A: I would encourage them to join because there are so many different opportunities that can fit their interests. They could get in solved with social media, filming, editing, writing, reporting, producing, graphics, and so many other areas.
