Brief Description of equipment:

Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.

Capabilities of the equipment:

The Arduino REV1 also includes the DFRobot Arduino Prototyping Shield allows you to createa small prototyping board to connect the Arduino Microcontroller. Prior soldering experience isrecommended. The components can be weldeddirectly on the board. You can also connect theabove mini-bread board circuit. The Mini-breadBoard is sold separately.The ProtoShield prototype extension board and twobuttons can be used directly with two LED circuits.
