Biannual Compliance Notifications - D05
Purpose
This procedure fulfills federal requirements regarding notification of specific laws and procedures applicable to sponsored projects and provides reminders to faculty and staff involved in sponsored projects of obligations and requirements.
Scope
This procedure applies to all sponsored projects subject to OU Policy 19.045(opens in a new window) Administering External Grants and Contracts set up as separate accounts in the OHIO Financial Management System (FMS).
Procedure
Federal and state regulations require notification of specific policies and programs that impact or are available to federal contractors and grantees. A biannual notification will be sent via email to all principal investigators to share with OHIO employees involved in their research programs. Notifications will include information about:
- Federal Whistleblower Protections (FAR 52.203-17 Contractor Employee Whistleblower Rights and Requirement to Inform Employees of Whistleblower Rights)
- Ohio University Policy 03.006: Whistleblowing and Retaliation
- Federal policy prohibiting Trafficking in Persons (52.222-50 Combating Trafficking in Persons)
- Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force
- Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
Additional requirements will be added as they arise.
