The following external funding services are available to the Ohio University community.


Pivot provides one of the most comprehensive databases available for locating funding opportunities and identifying potential collaborators. Find funding for research, artistic pursuits, equipment and facilities, program development, publishing, travel, scholarships and fellowships. Sources include U.S. federal, U.S. state and local, private foundations, professional societies and associations, and international governmental and private entities.

Pivot Training

The Research Division will host Pivot refresher training sessions on the 25th of each month from noon to 12:30 p.m. in Research and Technology Center (RTEC) 102.

The 30-minute monthly sessions are open to students, postdoctoral fellows, staff and faculty members of Ohio University. No RSVP is required. If at all possible, please bring your laptop to the session.

This first training session is Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.

New and existing Pivot users must use a new URL to access the service:  https://pivot.proquest.com/.  After March 1, the previous URL will be discontinued.

Foundation Directory Online

A service of the Foundation Center, the Foundation Directory Online helps you locate the private foundations most likely to give you grants. It includes an up-to-date database of over 100,000 grantmakers, as well as a list of current RFPs. Sign up for weekly RFP alerts by discipline.
