The Innovation Center at Ohio University is more than a building. We are a group of people working together to build sustainable businesses in southeast Ohio. The IC community is made up of, and benefits from, the active entrepreneurial activity that takes place in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Workshops and trainings are regular occurrences at the Innovation Center and range in topics, scope and audience with something for everyone from founder and CEO to entrepreneurs with a budding idea.
These events include, but are not limited to:
  • Lunch and Learns – Hosted monthly at the IC, organized by EDG (Economic Development Group) and co-sponsored by various entities within the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem, the free lunch and seminar covers topics ranging from human resources and financial statements to marketing and succession planning. Lunch and Learns are open to anyone in the community at no charge.
  • Topical Trainings - hosted at least quarterly by the IC, topics include: financial projections; tax implications; sales training; marketing and communications training; story telling; talen acquisition; human resources; access to capital; pitch presentation; and, others.
