Industry Partnerships

Building Industry Connections and Partnerships

The mission of the Industry Partnership Office (InPO) is to find and enhance synergies between university and corporate sponsors for mutual benefit, as well as for the economic and cultural enrichment of the state of Ohio and region.

The InPO is part of Ohio University’s Research Division and is led by Director Kevin King, an Ohio University alumnus with extensive managerial experience in contract research and research and development in biotechnology, biomedical and pharmaceutical industry organizations.

To achieve its mission, InPO places a high value on the relationships created between industry partners and the university’s internal stakeholders involved in collaborations for research, technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and student internship and career placement services.

To support industry partners in these relationships, the InPO:

  • Can serve as first point of contact with the university for prospective industry partners
  • Helps current partners pursue opportunities to expand their partnerships at the university
  • Serves as a guide for both new and existing partners to efficiently navigate the university’s processes to achieve desired outcomes with all parties
