The Innovation Center, Ohio University’s high-tech small business incubator, is offering free workshops and business coaching for area entrepreneurs this fall.
The IDEAtion Workshops are designed to help individuals develop new business ideas. Erin Rennich, Innovation Center client liaison and certified Strategyzer Facilitator, will guide participants through answering questions such as: Who are my customers? What do they want? What is the problem that I’m trying to solve? What makes my idea better than the other ideas?
Participants receive a Strategyzer Business Model Canvas, Strategyzer Value Proposition Canvas and a plan for next steps.
The workshops will be held on the following dates:
• Tuesday, Sept. 12, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
• Tuesday, Oct. 3, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Nov. 14, 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

In addition to the IDEAtion Workshops, the Innovation Center continues to offer open coaching hours this fall. TechGROWTH Ohio Executive-in-Residence Michele Migliuolo is on-site several times per week to talk with budding entrepreneurs about their business ventures and to provide free feedback, guidance and advice. Migliuolo, co-founder of five technology companies, is an advisor, coach and mentor to multiple startups.
Individuals seeking startup advice can meet with Migliuolo at the following times:
• Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
• Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
