From Staff Reports | Dec 4, 2018

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Creative Activity and the Technology Transfer Office announce the first Request for Proposals for the Ohio University Technology Validation and Start-Up Fund (TVSF) Program.

Through an award from the state of Ohio’s Third Frontier Program, Ohio University can provide up to $400,000 in total funding for projects, with the goal of facilitating the validation of university-developed technology and transition projects from the lab bench to the market.

Applications should be based on technology and tech-enabled products and/or services, for which patent or copyright protection already has been applied, in the following areas: Software/Information Technology; Biomedical/Life Sciences; Advanced Materials; Sensors; Energy; or Advanced Manufacturing.

Multiple awards will be given during the funding cycle, with funded projects eligible to receive up to $100,000 per award. Applicants are encouraged to request only those funds that are necessary to accomplish the goals specified in their applications. Awardees will be required to match 25 percent of the requested funding budget.
