How to get funding from OURC, Baker awards programs: Nov. 13 and 14

From staff reports | Nov 5, 2014

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Creativity Activity will host two workshops this month to help Ohio University faculty and staff learn how to access funding from the Ohio University Research Committee (OURC) and Baker Fund Awards Committee internal awards programs.

The workshops will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 13, and from 10-11 a.m., Fri, Nov. 14, (repeat session) in 301U Alden Library. Light refreshments will be provided.

Both internal awards programs have deadlines during the first half of spring semester.

The Ohio University Research Committee (OURC) offers competitive awards of up to $8,000 for faculty and staff to pursue new research and creative activity projects. Priority is for new faculty and staff or established faculty pursuing projects that are a clear departure from previous research foci.

Deadline: Thurs., Jan. 29, 2015, 4:00 p.m.

The Baker Fund Awards Committee offers competitive awards of up to $12,000 to support faculty and staff research, scholarship and creative activity. The committee seeks projects that are near completion and hopefully can be brought to full completion with the assistance of an award.

Deadline: Thurs., Feb. 12, 2015, 4:00 p.m.
