Student Expo Announces Awards 

The Ohio University Student Research and Creative Activity Expo announced 88 winning presentations in 57 categories Friday. The annual event, a showcase of Ohio University student research, scholarship and creative activity, featured more than 600 students and 500 projects. The Expo was held on Friday, May 13, at the Convocation Center.

Many students chose to participate in a competitive judging session, in which they could win up to $200 in prize money for the first place award. Second place winners received $100. Faculty and staff judges evaluated the attractiveness of the presentations and the students' verbal presentation skills, including their explanation of the methodology, results and conclusions.
