Eastern Campus

In most instances, regional campus students are bound by the dates, deadlines, policies, and procedures as published in the Schedule of Classes. Exceptions and variations applicable to the Eastern campus are noted below.

Go to your assigned academic office and get your DARS report and a trial schedule form.

Begin planning your schedule. Don't forget to choose several alternate classes - just in case.

Make and keep an appointment with your advisor. Take your DARS report, a copy of The Quarterly, and your trial schedule with you.

Register for your classes using My OHIO Student Center (which may be accessed from My OHIO portal - Academics tab).

If you have trouble registering, contact the Advising Office.

The initial due date for summer fees will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011. This will include registration charges incurred as of Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Account balance notifications for newly incurred charges are e-mailed at the beginning of each month and are due on the 21st of the month. Payments not received by the due date will incur a finance charge of 1.5%.

Payment can be made by cash, by check, or electronically using eCheck or credit card (American Express, Discover, or MasterCard). Payment by eCheck or by credit card can be made by visiting My OHIO portal
Accounts tab). eCheck has no service charge and is available to all students. Credit card payments will have a service charge assessed based on the transaction amount. Checks are to be made payable to Ohio University. Be sure the check is properly completed (date, amount due, and signature). Postdated checks will not be accepted. Please indicate the student's Person Identification Number (PID) on the front of the check. Checks may be mailed to: Ohio University, Chubb Hall 010, PO Box 960, Athens, OH 45701. Credit cards are accepted at regional campuses for regional campus students only.

All final exams are scheduled for the last meeting time of each class. Each examination period is two hours and will be held in the regular classroom.

See special information for international students.

All new students, including transfer students, must take a skills assessment (dates will be announced). There is no charge for the skills assessment, but an appointment is required.

Note: Transfer students must take the skills assessment, but we will NOT require them to retake courses for which they receive transfer credit.

New and transferring students will receive a copy of the quarterly schedule through the mail. These students should call the Advising Office, (740) 699-2517, and make individual appointments during which we will help them create schedules for the upcoming term.

If you were not enrolled for the preceding quarter but have been an Ohio University student in the past, you must file the appropriate forms (no cost involved) to reactivate your records. Contact the Admissions Office on the Eastern campus and ask for a re-enrollment packet. Before registering for classes, you should also talk with an advisor who can assist you in selecting appropriate courses to meet your requirements.
