Julia Ambrozy

Hi! I am Julia Ambrozy-an Applied Nutrition major graduating in the fall and an Ohio University Well-Being and Recreation Student Employee at the Ping Recreation Center.

Well-Being means to be healthy in all aspects: mental, physical, emotional and social. It is important because it reduces stress and anxiety and helps me feel connected with myself and others. I have incorporated personal well-being into my lifestyle by drinking lots of water throughout the day, taking plenty of breaks and going outside on nice days. Also, seeing friends on the weekend and keeping a rigid morning and night routine is important to me.

I feel that well-being is an ongoing but persistent challenge. Finding the moments throughout the day to just sit and be present with myself is so important in trusting the process and being who I am meant to be. I find that focusing on my health is something that helped me gauge who I really am and how I can contribute to the world.

I am thankful for my time working 2.5 years at Ping and having built such a community there! I love working with friends that are like-minded to me and share an interest in health. It makes the facility feel like a community of people I can come back to and continue feeling welcomed at.
