What is NIRSA? 

Founded in 1950, NIRSA is an organization that comprises and supports leaders in collegiate recreation and is a leader in higher education and the advocate for the advancement of recreation, sport, and well-being.

About the NIRSA Recreation Movement Challenge

NIRSA Movement Challenge

NIRSA is leading a country-wide movement challenge that enables university students, faculty, and staff to participate and compete against other colleges and universities and log their minutes of movement.

The university with the highest self-reported active minutes will win the challenge and enjoy bragging rights.

Eligibility

Ohio University students, faculty/staff, and alumni with an @ohio.edu email can access these online fitness classes and online fitness classes from over 40 schools classes through NIRSA's online Movement Challenge Platform, where they can self-report their minutes of physical activity. Self-reported physical activity does not need to come from participation in the virtual group fitness classes; it can come from any type of movement they enjoy doing.

How Do I Create An Account for the Challenge? 

Create an account via the NIRSA Recreation Movement Challenge portal and be sure to use your @ohio.edu email when creating your account and select your school as Ohio University. 

After this one-time account creation, you will be able to access classes directly via the NIRSA Recreation Movement Challenge Portal.
