Spring 2017 Schedule

Aqua Fitness is an exercise and swimming instruction program developed for adults. The Aquatic Center has a variety of programs designed to assist you with your aquatic fitness and competitive pursuits.

Shallow Water

Monday & Wednesday: 5:30 - 6:15 p.m.

Session 1: January 9 - March 1

Session 2: March 6 - April 26


Deep Water

Tuesday & Thursday: 5:30 - 6:15 p.m.

Session 1: January 10 - March 2

Session 2: March 7 - April 27



1 Class: $6

1 Session: $40

Session 1 & Session 2: $70


Class Descriptions

Shallow Water: No swimming skills required. Classes are held in the shallow end of the pool, and your feet will be touching the bottom the entire time. There is minimal impact on joints and tendons as your weight is supported by the water. 

Deep Water: This aerobic exercise places all of the pressure on the muscles with no impact on joints. Some swimming ability is required for deep water aerobics.  Participants can use a life jacket if needed, or they can challenge themselves to use leg and arm movement to keep their head above water.
