Ohio University Southern presents the Fifth Annual Women’s Conference on Friday, April 10th at the Proctorville Center. The one-day event features a variety of workshops dedicated to the celebration of women. Registration and check-in begin at 8:00 am.  The event concludes at 3:00 pm.
The guest speaker for the luncheon portion of the program is State Representative Dorothy Pelanda, Ohio House of Representatives, District 86. She continues to be a staunch supporter of a variety of women’s issues, including promoting entrepreneurship among women.
This event is designed to support women of all ages and backgrounds.  If you are a homemaker, student, business or retired professional, you will feel empowered by the women participating and attending this event.
From Muay Lao kickboxing and the benefits of journaling to the Paleo diet, tri-state day trips and cyber safety, this year’s conference has plenty to offer today’s woman.  Whether you’re interested in learning how to become a good listener and avoid conflict; looking for tips on being a “sugar buster”; eager to learn more about cyber security; or want to brush-up on your business etiquette, join us for this exciting event that promises to leave you feeling rejuvenated, inspired and empowered.
Additional sessions include preparing exotic dishes you can make right at home, self-defense techniques, and learning more about ways you can become more involved in your community as a  volunteer.
The cost to attend is $30 for adults; $20 for students.  To register online, CLICK HERE or call the Proctorville Center at 740.886.7655.  Space is limited.
