Women's Conference
April 12, 2016 : Ohio University Proctorville Center will host the 6th Annual Women’s Conference
Plans are underway for the 6th Annual Women’s Conference— scheduled for Friday, April 15 at the Ohio University Proctorville Center. This year’s program, which will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., promises to be exceptional.
Event Chair Kristi Barnes said that this year’s program includes speakers who will both instruct and inspire. “In addition to the several ‘how-to’ sessions, we have some incredible speakers on this year’s agenda,” Barnes said. “Our luncheon speaker is Ironton Mayor Katrina Keith, the first female mayor of that city. Freedom Rider and women’s advocate Joan C. Browning will lead a session about her experiences during the Civil Rights Movement.”
Participants will have an opportunity to attend sessions about being financially proactive, learn tips and tricks for eating healthy, see personal safety tactics demonstrated, they will hear from women who are leaders in business as well as at the heart of social change and much more.
Barnes added, “I feel our program participants will leave feeling empowered, supported and enriched.”
Registration is $30 ($20 for students) and seats are limited. Visit for more information and to register.
