The work to reimagine space utilization and the university’s footprint is now underway under the leadership of initiative co-leads College of Arts and Sciences Dean Florenz Plassman, Vice President for Student Affairs Jason Pina, Vice President for Research and Creative Activity and Dean of the Graduate College Joe Shields, and Associate Vice President for University Planning Shawna Bolin. As part of this work, the group worked with University Planning on a preliminary analysis that identified several focus areas that need further review and that require broad engagement and input.

The Ohio University Board of Trustees today approved a name for a new Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine education facility in Athens, which honors the generosity of the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation in helping to make the new building – and other transformative college projects – possible.

Ohio University’s new Chemistry Building, slated to be complete in the summer of 2020, will provide a window into 21st Century discovery, innovation and teaching at a time when the institution is reimagining higher education.
