LOOKING FOR NEW SPACE?
Any application for a new area that changes a Campus Unit's quantity of space, such as construction to convert space in existing buildings, new construction, or acquisition of land through lease or purchase should first begin with contacting University Planning. Examples of changes in function and/or configuration include conversion of room types (e.g., converting a classroom to a class lab, office to a storeroom, etc.), conversion of active space to inactive space (and vice versa), changes in occupant capacity, or any construction that affects the use of the space (e.g., construction or demolition of partitions). University Planning will assist you in determining your space need and how to move it forward most efficiently.
LOOKING TO CHANGE SPACE?
A request for change of space use/assignment also begins with University Planning and may include changes in function and/or configuration of a space including conversion of room types (e.g., converting a classroom to a class lab, office to a storage room, etc.), conversion of active space to inactive space (and vice versa), changes in classroom capacity, space swap from one planning unit/college to another.
