BUILDING ARCHIVE MANAGEMENT
University Planning manages original architectural drawings, specifications, maps, and other documents to preserve the history of Ohio University's building environments. The Plan Room contains drawings as far back as the late 1800's that document the Ridges as well as the President's Residence. To date, more than 40,000 construction documents have been scanned and organized online through the On-Base document management system, with an additional large number of hard copy records stored in the Plan Room.
Information stored in the Plan Room is routinely utilized by Architecture Design & Construction, Facilities Management, and consultants as a reference for new construction, renovations, and other work.
