ZANESVILLE, Ohio (May 27, 2004) -- If a successful garden has been eluding you, Ohio University Zanesville Campus and Timber Run Gardens can help turn your thumb green. Landscape professionals from Timber Run Gardens will be teaching three non-credit gardening workshops in June.
Perfecting a garden takes more than just picking up a few flowers and putting them in the ground. If learning from experts how to select plants based on color combination, location and purpose of planting sounds like a benefit, join the "Shrubs, Trees, Perennials" workshop on June 5. Then, brighten up local porches and patios with techniques learned from "Container Gardens," a session to be held on June 12. "Installing a Water Feature" on June 19 teaches all the steps to create a bubbling fountain, making your garden more relaxing.
There is a $40 special offer for all three workshops, though individual sessions are available for $15. Attendees also receive a 10 percent discount to Timber Run Gardens the day of their session. All workshops run from 8:30 to 10:30 am and will be on location at Timber Run Gardens, located at 4350 West Pike in Zanesville.
