Scholarship available for Kids University in June

ZANESVILLE, Ohio (March 18, 2004) -- Area youth interested in attending Ohio University Zanesville Campus' "Kids University" this June have an opportunity to receive a full scholarship as well as a little fame along the way.

Students in grades 1 through 6 are eligible to enter the university's T-shirt Design Contest. In addition to a full scholarship to one week-long Kids University Session, the first place winner's name, grade, and school will be featured along with their design on t-shirts given to all participants.

Contest applications can be picked up at the Dairy Queen on Maple Avenue, Kroger, Pick N' Save at both locations, Subway on Newark Road, Walmart and at the Zanesville Campus Center, Room 480. Designs should include the year 2004, Ohio University-Zanesville or OUZ, and the "Kids University" name.

Everyone who enters the contest will receive prizes from Wendy's, from the Dairy Queen on Maple Avenue and from the Subway on Newark Road, the sponsors of the contest. Second and third place winners will each receive a $20 coupon towards one Kids University week-long session.

This summer, Kids University for grades 4-6 will take place on June 21-25. Grades 1-3 will attend June 28-July 2. Check www.zanesville.ohiou.edu/ce/ for specific details as they become available.
