Provost offers funding for undergraduate research

ATHENS, Ohio (Sept. 20, 2006) -- In order to benefit more students, the Provost's Undergraduate Research Fund has changed its funding cycle. The next application deadline will be Friday, Sept. 22, by no later than 5 p.m. Applications are available online at www.honors.ohio.edu/research_op.htm and in the Honors Tutorial College, 35 Park Place. The awards will be announced Monday, Oct. 23.

The Provost's Undergraduate Research Fund aids students financially in their research. Providing full-time undergraduate students attending the Athens campus with $50,000 in awards, students are able to use the awarded funds for materials and travel directly related to their research. Awards can range from $100 to $1500.
